Information
Counseling can be an effective
way to resolve problems and conflicts.
Is your family life becoming a source of
major stress for you? Would you like to learn how to negotiate
those power struggles we all seem to have with our family members?
Could you use some help learning how to communicate positively
with those around you?
We can help with these issues and many
others including depression, self-esteem, effective parenting
techniques, grief and loss, and becoming a more authentic person.
These are just a few examples of concerns that can be addressed.
NCO has counselors who can help you learn
how to change and grow in the areas that you think are
important.
Adolescent Issues
Has your teenager become defiant? Is your
teenager arguing with you and your family? Has your teenager stopped
listening to you? NCO's counselors can help with these issues,
too. They will help you find answers for your family, and can
help you guide your teenager toward becoming a more responsible
person.
Crisis Intervention
Our crisis intervention staff are on call
24-hours a day to local area
police departments in Lisle, Woodridge, Aurora, Naperville, Downers
Grove,
Westmont and the DuPage County Sheriff's department to assist
with
teenage runaways and lockouts.
NCO's counseling staff can answer any questions you may have
about a
teenager who is talking about running away or who has been locked
out of
his or her home.

WINGS
Women Involved in Girls Success
This new program is in
collaboration with the Naperville Police
Department and KidsMatter. WINGS is a mentoring program
that identifies at risk adolescent females and connects these
individuals with a professional woman in the community for the
purpose of forming a mentoring relationship that will provide opportunities
and encourage positive values. The mentoring relationship will
provide the adolescent females with a positive role
model, experience and activities in hopes of preventing future risk
taking behavior.
